Samantha Allan- Director
Samantha Allan has been clogging for 24 years and teaching for 12 years. She has danced with Spring Rhythm, Rocky Mountain Express, and High Performance Studios. Samantha has competed in competitions all throughout Utah and has performed in many different shows including BYU’s Christmas Around the World. Samantha has won several awards and is a member of the All Star All-American Team in freestyle. She has award winning choreography in multiple different levels. She graduated from Utah Valley University, where she earned her degree in business. Samantha has been part of NextStep since the beginning and is a wonderful teacher!

Heather Beardall- Teacher
Heather has been dancing since she was 2 and clogging since she was 7. She is a member of the national All-American Team in acapella duet and tap solo, winning 4 different years. She has won Master Soloist many times and has also placed in overall superstar of the year before. She has placed in many overall Pro divisions including getting 2nd overall acapella solo and acapella duet at competitions. Heather has worked as a teacher's assistant for 5 years at the studio before teaching and is now in her 4th year of teaching. She loves young children and teaching so much! She has a passion for choreographing and has award winning choreography in several levels of clogging, jazz, and tap. When she’s not dancing she’s probably playing the violin, singing, crafting, working out, writing, doing homework, or filming dance reels with her sister.

Olivia Hawkins- Teacher
Olivia has been clogging for over 10 years and loves it. She is a member of the national All American clogging team in line solo and long duet. She has received master soloist many times and has won overalls in her professional level long duet. Olivia traveled with the American Folk Ensemble and performed throughout Germany this past summer! Olivia has been a teacher’s assistant for several years and is on her third year as a teacher at the studio. She loves being able to work with younger dancers and choreograph routines. When she’s not clogging, you can find her running, playing violin or piano, and doing homework.

Amber Henrie - Teacher
Amber Henrie was awarded Director of the Year in 2023, 2024, and 2025. She is a member of the All Star All-American team in freestyle, solos, short duet and long duet. Amber has been dancing for 30+ years and teaching for 12 years. Before starting NextStep, she previously taught for Pride & Passion Studio and Extreme Rhythm. Amber is an award winning dancer, instructor and choreographer. She has had the opportunity to perform and compete all over the world including Disneyland, Nashville, Las Vegas, New York City, London, Serbia, Romania and more. Amber graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Dance. She is married to a very supportive husband, Austin Henrie, and they have 4 awesome kids (Claire, Jack, Tucker, and Finn). Amber has a passion for dancing and teaching. She strives to help her students see the best in themselves, and to build confidence on and off the stage.
